The Council of Energy Resource Tribes (CERT) is proactive in tracking law and policy involving energy and Tribal governance, in educating congress about pertinent issues. CERT is a unified voice to congress representing the Tribes. By working with policy decision makers on law’s written language, we are able to facilitate the connection between the regulations and the Tribal governance to bring energy solutions to the Tribes.

Tribal-Industry Relations
Tribes use CERT in their relationships with industry on issues where their mutual interests seem adverse. Through working in focused dialogue with companies and trade associations, misunderstanding is reduced, common information and knowledge increased and common ground identified. This provides Tribal leaders and industry executives to find mutually beneficial approaches that result in the proverbial win-win result.
