The Council of Energy Resource Tribes joins our affiliate members the Four Nations of Hobbema—Ermineskin, Louis Bull, Montana, and the Samson Cree - in presenting Energy Solutions 2008 and the North American Spirit Award Dinner on June 23-25 at the River Cree Resort Casino in Enoch, near Edmonton, Alberta Canada.

Tribal leaders, industry representatives, government officials and Tribal organizations from both the US and Canada are being invited to foster the development of more networking between US Tribes and Canadian First Nations in energy and economic trade and development.  The conference will provide an opportunity for conference attendees to discuss opportunities in oil and gas and other resources, learn about each other and forge partnerships on how we might work together in addressing issues of great importance to us all.

Proceeds from the black tie dinner will benefit Indian education programs of the Four Nations and CERT.  As you know, skilled and trained professional work force is vital to the economic success of our communities.  The North American Spirit Award will be presented to Samson Cree Tribal member Shane Yellowbird, country music singer/songwriter.  A silent auction during the dinner will feature an original painting by contemporary Canadian aboriginal artist George Littlechild.
