The Council of Energy Resource Tribes (CERT) is proud to present Indian Energy Solutions conference on September 23-25, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.  CERT developed this conference to bring together Tribal leaders, major national and regional Tribal organizations, federal energy policy officials, private sector energy companies and the unions to discuss the latest in energy resource science, management, development and protection.

With the Obama Administration making energy efficiency and green energy high priorities, interest in Tribal energy resources is at an all time high.  Indian lands hold vast amounts of both conventional and renewable energy resources. Indian oil and gas make up one fourth of America's known on-shore resources and reserves.  Indian coal represents one third of US western coal.  And, Tribal lands lying at the heart of America's renewable resource zones contain up to 40% of the renewable energy resource base of the continental United States.  Plus, they own lands that straddle the major transportation routes for pipelines and transmission.
